painful to watch

yeah, I noticed that and wondered if he put it on so that he had some more core support for his spastic axe flailing. He also seems kind of impaired.

That is painful to watch, but not because of the abuse and poor handling of an axe.

The guy is clearly a mental wreck, probably drunk, and definitely having serious personal problems. Yet this guy has a house and gets approved for financing on a car even though he obviously couldn't handle it. Meanwhile you have far more deserving people who ended up on the streets.

Maybe this guy just needs a little help and a shoulder to cry on, or maybe he's just been an 🤬hole his entire life. We don't know the story. But let's all point and laugh anyway, right? It's all fun and games.

Yeah, maybe this guy's parents were murdered but Batman stole that gig so he's got no outlet.

I always turn to Occam's Razor when seeing something like this. It's not a perfect construct but when you see a guy attacking a trailer tongue with ax then it's compelling.

for a couple reasons

I hope you guys's chopping skills are better than this dude.

also, yikes, that poor axe.....

Guy just needs a CPK 3V Axe , some physical training ...and a serious meds adjustment ! 🤯

The axe has always been pressed into service without regard to tool abuse. That's why we see so many that are messed up.

Sometimes it's legitimate work that is done in just as much anger. Sometimes it's just sacrificing an axe so that the job can continue. It's a relatively inexpensive sacrifice when compared to a days' labor or several men's days' labor.

Many a double bit was sacrificed cutting a frayed logging cable. One bit was stuck in a stump. The cable was laid across the exposed bit and struck repeatedly with a sledge hammer until it cut. But then the cable could be spliced or a new end loop woven. Back to work for a whole crew.

Mess up an axe. Get on with the job. Them's the breaks for the axe.

I’ve seen what you’re saying SP, hell I’ve even done it a time or two to a chisel for example. But I don’t see “getting on with the job” in this guys’ motivation.

I will observe that back when we were young, our dumbass stunts were witnessed by a few bystanders, or sometimes nobody at all if you were lucky. Lot more chances at fame, these days.
