Hello!

Anybody know if painting, but without any physical or mechanical modification voids the warranty?

You should have took those scales off first and then painted them. I'm sure EmersonRep will clarify your answer though.

Did you paint it or drop it in a paint can?

either way i highly doubt it

I can't really see how that would affect any warranty concerns, but obviously I don't make that decision.

I know with Strider knives it wouldn't matter as long as you didn't affect the pivot point messing with the lockup.

*WE DO NOT DO SERVICE, WARRANTY WORK OR SHARPEN ANY KNIVES THAT HAVE BEEN CUSTOMIZED OR ALTERED OUTSIDE OF OUR FACTORY AND OR WERE NOT MANUFACTURED BY EMERSON KNIVES, INC.

This is quoted right out of our warranty.

Of course, I didnt drop it in the paint can :P The can wasn't big enough haha

This kind of paint should wear with time leaving no trace, its not Cerakote-style.

Just wanted to see how it looks... I think a proper work done should look great! I will update with future pics when there is some wear, no paint was placed inside or where it may affect tolerances...

That's actually looking pretty cool now that it's sort of cleaned up. I like the fine honeycomb pattern.

Not sure what's on that plate, but it doesn't look like it needs a knife to cut it, bahaha!

Ey, just wanted to update with some after pics;)

Some months after... ;)
