Thanks to a couple of regulars around here, Mike Robuck and Durwood, I was lucky enough to snag these two by Ken Erickson. Received them this week. Both are smaller knives, perfect size for watch pocket carry .
The Barlow was Ken's prototype for this size and pattern. About 3 1/8 inches, ATS-34. The sawcut bone scales are probably from Schrade.
The sowbelly is also about 3 1/8 inches. ATS-34, greeen canvas micarta. The fit and talk and walk and finish:D is as expected from Ken. Big honkin' grin on my ugly mug today.

Nice job Ken,congrats Rob & Thanks for posting these,

Very nice. I've been wondering about a custom Barlow. Is it just me or is the point lower on that blade than what you usually find with barlows?

Rob, I don't have to tell you that you don't deserve either of those knives. ;)

Of course, if you don't, jeez, I'm in a world of $%*&!!!

Congrats on two fine knives!!!:cool:

Very well done and clean.
Congrats to both of you.
(I guess I have to concede that Rob in fact does have taste.) :D

that's a nice pair. coming from me that usually means something entirely different but i digress. :) the sowbelly is my favorite.

I looked at a few of the production spear point Barlows I have and the point on most seems to be a tad below the center line of the blade. This one of Ken's may be a little lower than that.

I've seen other sowbelly knives but this one I really like with just the single blade and the green micarta. Very nice!

p.s. The shield reminds me of either a one piece swimsuit or a fish that something took a couple bites from its head.

Attaboy Rob! Great snagage for sure. Put's a grin on my mug too.

You my friend, have some set sayin' a thing like that after what you have inbound!

;);)

I was lucky enough to get the Wharncliffe Whittler that Ken walked us through here about a year or so ago. Could have been 2 years, man my memory is shot. She's sportin light brown picked bone scales, a wedge (which I can't get a pix of worth a d@*n) & is 3 & 7/16" closed. Blade length - Main 2 & 1/4", Coping 1 & 1/2", Pen 1 & 5/8". I've just used her on a couple small whittlin jobs & haven't had to sharpen her yet.

The 2nd is a small Swayback at 3 & 1/8 she disappears in your pocket. Brown micarta scales, federal shield & a nicely rounded rattail bolster. Blade length- 2 & 7/16". Both knives are Ken's ATS-34.
I've been waiting almost a year for my next one & I'll sure post it when she's created.
