Hello gentlemen, I share with you some photos of a pair of integrals knives inspired by the traditional knife of Argentina and Brazil gauchos.
Both are one-piece blade, collar and handle, one in pattern welded steel ladder pattern from W1 and 15N20 carbon steels and the other is forged from a bar of 420 stainless steel with filework in spine.
Both have handle with red deer scales, alpaca rivet pins and rawhide sheaths sewn with strips of foal leather.
Hope that you will enjoy
Thanks for looking.

This is a beautiful transition! The way it shows the thicknesses of the layered steels is not something I've really seen before, and your design really accentuates that. Nice nice work:thumbup::cool:

Gentleman, thank you very much for your kind comments, they help a lot to keep working.
Lorien, damascus pattern is made from thick layers of W1 followed by thin W1 and 15N20, I tried to replicate a very nice pattern used in William Henry folders.
Saludos, Marcial.
