Just finished these up and thought I'd share. :p

The steel is 1095 for both. One has handrubbed finish, the other an "antiqued" finish. Both are differentially heat-treated with a wavy hamon that is very subtle, but noticeable. I muted the hamon on purpose - didn't want it to be too overbearing on the two different finishes. I will be posting pics of a more "contrasty" hamon in the next few knives.

Both have handles made of Corian with stainless steel pins.

Overall length is 11 inches.

The top knife (handrubbed) is 7.4 ounces and the bottom knife (antiqued) is 8.5 ounces.

Antiqued finish. You can kinda see where the hamon is, but you really have to catch it in the right light. (same with the other one)

Thanks for the nice words, guys. Hope to unveil my new design(s) at Blade.

I really like this style, Daniel. The blades look extra wide too, with plenty of drop to spare. Your antiqued finish shows up that interesting banded grain pattern you can see near the handle and along the top of the handle. It was discussed in another thread, and I reckon its actually bainite - very difficult to consistently reproduce in the right places on a blade. Good luck for the show. Jason.
