Just thought I'd put this up to tease someone...maybe he will chime in :D
Both 0-1 with cocobolo. The one with the 2 mosaics will acompany a larger Companion way up in Canada. The thng hole one will be headed to Kim Breed next week then given away in the "Knife I carry" section of Blade Magazine.
Be nice if a forum member won it.
Thanks for looking. ;)

Hell...If I put then out fast enough I sure would ;)
Nice website bt the way!

Chime in? Brian, you are too polite..I can never keep my big yap shut. Big brother Canadian Cocobolo Companion is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his Sidekick. I have never carried a fixed blade that is more comfortable, capable and pleasing to the eye. IMHO, you have duplicated that in this Sidekick.. and crammed in a little extra. Beauty work as always.

Bill,
Would you believe that the SideKick was the first design? I just had a piece of scrap and it was too much to not use ;)
Then when I took an image of it it looked like it was a larger knife so...wha la' the Companion was born ;)

Now the bigger 5.5" blade is soon to be with us ;)

very interesting..not very often that I am lucky enough to have the best saved for last!! I am constantly in awe of the knifemakers creative process.

Design process is a funny thing!. I have a new design (for me) for a 4.875" blade I need to start that I think will be a nice and lasting pattern.
I need to start that sucker next week...... :D

And I was lucky enough to get that piece of scrap. His first sidekick.

Gee, I guess that last post sounded a little negative. It is really an honor to have that knife...appeared in Blade magazine, last issue, page 86. I carry it often. Also a pleasure to do his webpage. Really fun to see the work he does and how it evolves.

not negative at all KCardwel ;) Its an honor that you carry this and an Ed Caffrey as well. Some fine knives you have too. Hey hows that kitchen slicer holding up? It was one of my favorites for sure :D

Congrates Brian on a great design! :D Sounds like you're making alot of fellow knife knuts happy! ;) Way to go. Looking forward to seeing the whole family of sidekicks. ;)
