Finished these up this weekend. Last ones till after my display at the local street fair

1095 and pure nickel by Chad Nichols at Bluesprings Forge

Bolsters pinned with pure nickel then forge welded to form solid piece

Zebrawood handles

Spacers are Marinetex epoxy with sifted brass cuttings mixed in

Edge quenched and tempered at 350 twice then colored with propane torch and edge touching wet koawool

Very nice.I do a lot of trapping,looks like they would do well on bigger critters like beaver & coyote.Good job.
 
Thanks for comment. You can have all my beaver skinning. That was the first place I ever used a damascus knife many years ago. What a grease ball. A beaver skinner needs a very rough non skid handle IMHO.

I suppose there are many opinions on beavers around here as most places.
 
Thank you. Mean a lot to me. My knives are the off shoot of a lifetime of working steel. I was pretty sick once and couldn't work and need something to do. A ton of reading and studing and a belt grinder from my brother go me started. I love working steel into something I want it to be instead of what some engineer wants it to be.
