Hello lady's and gents. They just got this knife in at my local knife store, thinking about picking it up. Anyone have any experience with it, or thoughts on how it performs?(especially considering price). Any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nathan.

 Buy it! :D

You can't go wrong, especially for the price.

I haven't used mine for "caping" yet,, but I have used it for skinning a couple whitetails last year. (Also various cutting tasks around the house lately.) Its a good solid design, and gets quite sharp! Light, durable, and has a forever warranty!

I think I just might go for it hahaha. It'll be in place of my Izula while its temporarily out of commission and I really liked the blade shape.

I can't compare for that, as I don't have an Izula, but I think you will like the Buck. IMHO they are designed for 2 different purposes. How do you carry the Izula? The Paklite comes with a vertical only nylon belt sheath.
Give it a try!

@postfallsidaho I carry the izula vertical on my hip, same way. I just picked it up about a minute ago, thing is SUUUUUPER light and came pretty sharp. I'll take it back to work with me after lunch and get a little use out of it today. Looking promising so far though.

I really like it so far. Day two at work, and I got a little yard work done with it. This thing took a ridiculously sharp edge last night, very impressed by that. But yea, so far its working great(but I still miss my Izula hahaha).

I have the skinner with the coating and it is a great knife for the price. It is extremely sharp and sturdy. Fun knife to have.

Anyone watch or read this video and small article. Hovey has been writing in knife and gun rags for 50 years...

Yep, read it and watched his video. He made some good points :D Great knives! Made in USA ;) I dont have the guthook, or the newer coated ones, but I am sure I will :D

I havent used mine on a bear either, but they are slick for whitetails!!!!
