PakLite Skinner

It's been talked about some here and over in the Wilderness forum.

Don't have one yet, but ordered it yesterday from Buck with the 40% off discount. Makes it a very affordable, light knife!

Will cord wrap the handle if need be and find a use for it.

I have the skinner and the paklite, they are great little knives, esp. for the money!

I hope to use mine this weekend on a deer!

When you get it let us know how you like it. Also some pictures with other knives to show size, if you can. Thanks.

FANTASTIC knives!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a chance to use them both on my dads deer sunday. They were great! I love them both, but I think I like the caper version a tad more. It was perfect for skinning! Also easier for me to touch up, it has a nice curve to the blade. The belly in the skinner blade wanst bad, but I could have done without it.
EASY cleanup also! Knives were very manueverable during skinning! I also used them for removing the meat from the bone, but they were a tad short, for me. They worked, but the 105 is more suited for this task ;)

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like nice small knife. I thought it would be a little bigger. What does the sheath look like?

Sheath looks like their standard black cordura fabric with BUCK in white. Sheaths are also very compact and light weight even with the plastic liner inside. I will get pics up on sunday maybe, the knives are back up north already.

Jim,

You're making me want those two knives. Nice Review.

Thanks for the pics of the knives with sheaths!

I had a chance to use both knives on 3 more bucks this weekend :D What a great year!
My Dad, wife, and I all shot a nice lil' buck! As far as cleaning these last 3, I used the Vantage Pro and the Paklites again. I found myself at the end using the paklite caper the most though. I like it a little more than the skinner version now. I also got out the 123 and 125 fillets, and they worked AWESOME as well! I think I found my new whitetail combo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have two, the black coated version is much larger than the uncoated silver verion. The balance is better in the uncoated one, but I really like them both. The two I have are the model pictured in the link. I'm going to buy a couple of the other model as soon as I can find them. They sell very quick and none of the stores can keep them in stock.
