My father will return home sooner than I thought. His medical procedures
are over and he is better than ever.

While Pala was here, the production at the shop and with the Kamis slowed
way down. I believe that, while the cat's away, the mice will play or dance,
instead of working...Sigh!

Enjoy your Pala-made knife handle collections. Pala made two more handles and after this he won't be able to make
more handles for a while. I will post his departure date as soon as his air ticket is fixed.

Thank you all for your interest and appreciation

He is better and when he's back production will improve, all in all this is good news :)

I think the good news are more than the bad ones.
Pala may not make as many handles but he will supervise quality and the kamis work,
and this is critical for any business.
Only "bad' news are for Auntie probably...she won't see him every day...
Good to know he's back in top shape though.

So glad to hear he is feeling much better:)
We will miss him, may he have a safe and enjoyable journey and get them mice to stop dancing so much:)

HA!

Really want to have some fun?

Don't tell the shop people he's coming back, and watch the mice scatter when he comes in the door!

Glad to hear he's better sooner than you thought.

Pala, have a safe and enjoyable trip home, I hope to meet you in person one day, Thank you for Everything you do, Dave H.

That is my absolute favorite thing to do at our other location. We have a bookkeeper who likes to throw her weight around and act superior to me for some reason. When I step through the door unannounced and catch her cutting up and smoking her 5th cigarette in a row...well that shuts her up for a bit:D

Positive smoke up for Pala and continued healing. Thank you for visiting us. My Pala Karda is getting a workout tonight as friends are coming over to grill out and play with the baby:D

Yangdu?

For Pala: Thank you for all you do and have done. Your quality control is an essential part of HI's reputation. I wish you good health and happy days.

Fare well, where ever you fare.

:)

Yangdu: I thought Pala would cut out as soon as he was up to it. Just seemed like the kind of man who didn't take well to vacation. Seems more like a guy who is going to be working right up to the end and I admire him. I think this is what keeps him so young, fit and healthy in general. Though I know it will be hard to see him go, I too live far from my family (but not as far as you do Auntie) and it makes it lonely sometimes. I hope things pick up and sales boom so you can make your yearly trip to Nepal. Then you can go back and not only get a little of that down home cooking that always makes you feel good about the world but see your father and all the rest of the folks you are missing again.

To Pala: we will miss you. I am now the very proud owner of a couple of your Pala Kardas and a couple of very nicely re-handled blades including my favorite, the Teak handled Mini Tarwar. Your handles will be dearly missed my good Kami and so will you. Please take good care of those new eyes. We will be looking forward to seeing the huge increase in production when you get back there to crack the whip and get things rolling again. :)

Travel Safe and Be Well, you will be in my prayers always...

You know, guys (and girls:D), I just love this place.

In today's world...to see people care so much about a business or a man they
probably haven't and will never have a chance to see in person is beyond words!

It gives me hope that not all humanity is forever lost!

@ Pala: Enjoy Nepal
@ Auntie: ...enjoy the family, have fun and...they will come back again...one day.
I live 13000km from mine and know the feelings...

Thank you all for the good thoughts and continue supports to HI, Pala and Kamis
