PAM oil

Just want to share something that I found out. One night I disassembled my Kershaw MiniCyclone to clean it. I usually use 3-in-1 oil to lubricate it afterwards. However not having any left I reached for the PAM cooking spray instead and liberally sprayed my knife with it. It's been two weeks now and the knife still flies open without any drag at all. Also the PAM doesn't attract pocket lint like the 3-in-1 oil does. Just thought I'd share that in case anyone wants to give it a try.

Interesting, I am suprised it doesn't pick up grime! I usually use my Hoppes lubricating oil and that works great too.

Mineral oil works well because it wont go rancid and won't harm food (good for those like me who use my EDC for food prep a lot).

Yes I suppose that it would turn rancid after a while. Haven't noticed it yet though. Wouldn't PAM be foodsafe too though, I mean it's used for cooking utensils.
