I made a pancake sheath following the tutorial that Dave made. All his posted steps worked exactly as he shows. I don't have a lot of experience making sheaths so my sheath is no-ware near the lever as Dave's but it came out ok. I will do more and hopefully improve. I have another one ready for wet forming and baking tomorrow. I just want to thank Dave for all his help and the really great tutorial.

That looks really good sir! I'd be proud of that one myself!

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. I have to work on getting the slots parallel, the top left came out a little off. More practice will help with the other small issues. This morning I worked on the second sheath and I definitely had more confidence. The slots came out straight and my edges came out much more rounded. As Dave suggested, I purchased the Weaver bag punch and a couple of BK edgers. I have to say that it was money well spent. The common BK edger is a tool that I will use often, so it makes sense to get a quality tool.
The second sheath is in the oven now, I'll post a picture when the sheath is complete.

Good deal John. That looks great. I'm really glad that came out so well for you. Looks really good with that bocote handled knife sticking out too. Bocote is one of my favorite handle materials.
