Is anyone making a Kydex sheath for the Spyderco Mule Team knife? They released a run of them today in M4 so I'm guessing there will be a few folks looking for a somewhat inexpensive necker to hold them.

+1!!!

I'll be looking for one of these as well.

Inexpensive kydex sounds great to me.

I'll make one next weekend and post a pic, in case anyone is interested.

I could probably do these for $20 a pop, assuming no belt loop. Belt loop could be added for a little extra.

Almost finished with first batch of two. Started small, as these are protos. I will be able to make them in larger batches after this. Will post pics tomorrow after they are finished.

very nice! responded to the other thread!

hurry up and get um people! thanx for making these jim!

I consulted with the higher powers here and direct linking to a for sale thread is usually frowned upon. Heres the quote from what I got back:

It's ambiguous because you guys are responding to "I need a sheath" from time to time, this being a mass need.

I don't think he should be linking to a sales thread, but he should be able to say, "I will have them available, keep an eye on For Sale: Gadgets & Gear (Individual)."

I hope this is clear and not busting chops or anything. :D We're just trying to keep our nice little area here and dont want to lose it to simple stuff.

Thanks to everyone here for making this such a great place! After so long campaigning for the sheath forum I'm very happy to see it so successful. :D :D :D

Well in all honesty I was just trying to make things convenient for those who were asking about a sheath for the Mule. I agree someone shouldn't start a thread saying "Hey here's a link to my for sale thread". Folks here had inquired and expressed interest in the sheath so I was just trying to help.

Dont kill the messenger, ask a Super Mod if you have an issue.

I don't have an issue and evidently the mod didn't either. You evidently reported the post, were told it wasn't really an issue, then decided to post an answer to a question that no one but you had.

Really now? Are you psychic? or think I have some kind of agenda here? I evidently touched a nerve, take a deep breath

You obviously know everything. Clearly you have no agenda. Please forgive my impertinence.

wow, you really have some issues.

Okay -- back on topic!

Well the first Mule sheathes I shipped out should have arrived to their owners. Any feedback?

The only constructive critisism I got from one person was that they are a little stiff on the draw. And they are. Since I designed them as neck sheathes, I wanted to make sure nobody's knife falls out of the sheath unexectedly, even under rigorous conditions. However, if the feeling is that they are too stiff, all I need to do is move the top rivets down a little.

So, if anyone has any feedback, I'm all ears!

Thanks,

Jim
