I have to say that I was extremely excited for this version. Since I am in heavy brush a lot the idea of a D guard just feels right.

I can't wait to see what kind of designs our creative sheath makers can come up with for this new edition!

Do you think the D guard configuration will make it more difficult to make a sheath for this one (kydex with good retention would be important for me)? Just curious.

BUY Brown will make something crazy functional, mashed cat will as well, azwelke is right there too. Amazing makers here, I'm not in on the d guard but am curious to see. I bet Dave Brown is at the drawing table already

Yep :) ;)

I have two packages coming tomorrow from Wauseon.. one is a BATAC and the only other thing I have been dinged for is the D-Guard.. had a design in mind the minute I saw her and it's one I have been waiting to suite up since.

Hoping to wrap this proto-type up tomorrow. Still needs the drop loop and there will be a keeper strap through the bottom of the D-Guard that will be able to be released with the index finger while gripping the knife. Then of course final finishing. Delivery time is about 3.5 weeks right now. Hope you like.
