Worked on this one while trying to finish some other ones up. Not done yet though. still need to finish up the edges and some minor tweaking. I just wanted to see what the OD kydex looked like with the sage ASH. I like the color combo. I think I'll do a tan one next. Still no where near as nice as Tyrkon's sprinkler head sheath though! :D

Thanks guys. Calder, I encourage everyone to give it a shot. It's pretty easy to work with.

Yeah, we want you to keep that ASH covered

Great looking sheath:thumbup:
Ya'll make it look to easy, but surely it's not that easy

Does it rub blade at all?
I have several with firm handle retention with no Blade touch once inside. Have A couple other handle retention's that rub the blade a good bit

If your Blade's not touching once inside your a master already...cuz they look awesome:thumbup:

Thanks Kenny (and everyone). No blade rub at all. I have a few sheaths that I got a while back, and they're all blade retention. That's part of the reason I wanted to make my own sheaths. I don't care much for blade retention. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea. I much prefer handle retention, or a variation there-of.

Also, in case anyone is wondering why I left the opening near the tip, I did it on purpose. I like to use it as a drainage point instead of drilling an extra hole. :)

Great job Dan!

I like that style of drainage point... straight thru flush.

And no blade rub too... do you wrap the blade to get the space inside?

Yup. I've experimented with different thickness' of wrap on the blade and found how much of a difference it can make. too much, and you get blade rattle. Too little, and it's a super tight fit with blade rub.

There is a small amount of blade rub, but it's from pulling the blade against the sides or top when holstering or removing the knife. Inevitable really, but it's so miniscule that I can barely notice it after removing and holstering the knife many times. Same thing you'd expect to see from any kydex sheath.

HEY! How did you get my knife? :grumpy:

Looks great! I've got the identical one on order. Nice taste. :)
