I'm sure glad that I am old enough to appreciate some of the finer things that manage to get in my hands.
A couple of Kagas Katne's arrived in the mail Saturday and one of them caught my eye like a magnet. I usually do not care for metal handles on knives. but, this one was a full tang with the diamond keeper. The blade was very sharp, convex, and polished to high heaven. Yes I could see myself. I touched it up just a bit with one of my Viking whetstones and it will clean the hair right off the arm in bunches. Shined brass, shiny metal handle, and mirror blade, sure is a sight to behold. It will be another neck knife for me. Kind
of reminds me of a Bura Blade.
The other one is a good blade but even for me after using one quite a bit, the handle is just too small for convenient use. I figure it can lay here on the desk for a letter opener. It doesn't take up much space.
