before & after paper slicing
pine is relatively soft but bois d'arc [bodark] is one of the hardest woods in america & when you baton this it doe'st split 80% down the cut as does pine. bodark is akin to sheet metal , you have the beat the blade completely thru. bruce said to beat the hell out of the knife & i did. easily shaved hair afterwards & cut the paper with ease. thanks to bruce culberson for a great forged 52100.---dennis

That was my first knife in 52100, and definately not the last!

I think it's ready to take on a hog.
