Got my new razor sharp system in and up and running but I am going to need some practice. Any advise is welcome.

Go out to Goodwill or another thrift store and buy some cheap kitchen knives. (usually for a $1 each or so.) Practice on these knives, or as Richard J mentioned above suggests, get an old hack saw blade to learn and practice on. I bought about a dozen kitchen knives to learn on when I bought my wheels, and I still have them on my workbench shelf. Develop a safe and effective method of using them before you start on your good knives. The learning curve is short if you pay attention to what you are doing and observe the results gained from each action used in your practice knives. Good luck and enjoy your wheels. I wouldn't trade mine for any other system out there. Watch some video's on line to get some good pointers also.

Blessings,

Omar

Wow I figured this thing out! I sharpened every knife in my house I own. There are some that are sharper than they have ever been!

You can get amazing results from the paper wheels (as you have discovered)... and it's fun. Now you'll have to look for more knives to sharpen!

Good sharpening,
Dave
