The creative graphic handles made of 100% post consumer PaperStone™, make these knives as environmentally friendly as they are appealing. According to research, PaperStone™ is considered the most "green" surface on the market today. It's composed of recycled paper and petroleum free resins from raw materials such as cashew nut shell liquid.

Products like PaperStone™ seem to be a wave of the future. Houses are being built with PaperStone™ counter tops and I'm sure there are many other applications. It allows many graphical possibilities. I imagine that in the future products like this will become commonplace and natural materials like wood, stone, antler etc. will become more precious.

Does anyone have any personal experience with this material on a knife handle? Any information on hardness, durability, weather and wearability, ease of working (for knife makers and factory production) etc? Can anyone show interesting examples?

I think the material is so relatively new, that few have any experience with it.

Sorry WD,

Like TS said, I have never had a chance to even hold a knife with this material let alone use one. I have only looked at pic's of the stuff here! Time will tell how well it works!

I think it was on a few of their small knife/bottle openers (forget the name of those right now) last year but that was it I think.

Don't think it's been on any hard use things till now. I'm looking forward to handling some of it myself. $30+ for a 110 with it should be neat and light.

I'm really interested in hearing how the 110 and 301 turn out. Those could really become good lightweight edc if still somewhat durable.

Threw one of those metros with the flowers on it for the wife in my last order of a couple 301s,303 and Vantage Pro. She commented on the looks, I was intriqued with the paperstone material and they were USA made so worth a try. But I'd be real interested in the 110 and 301. Looking forward to some feedback on em.
