BUCK KNIVES website said:The creative graphic handles made of 100% post consumer PaperStone, make these knives as environmentally friendly as they are appealing. According to research, PaperStone is considered the most "green" surface on the market today. It's composed of recycled paper and petroleum free resins from raw materials such as cashew nut shell liquid.
Products like PaperStone seem to be a wave of the future. Houses are being built with PaperStone counter tops and I'm sure there are many other applications. It allows many graphical possibilities. I imagine that in the future products like this will become commonplace and natural materials like wood, stone, antler etc. will become more precious.
Does anyone have any personal experience with this material on a knife handle? Any information on hardness, durability, weather and wearability, ease of working (for knife makers and factory production) etc? Can anyone show interesting examples?
