Do you feel like you might have missed out on Millitary Sprints?

I've recently started appreciating larger knives and I look back on all those Millies in various steels/colors and sort of kick myself - I thought I'd never own a folder longer than the Para-2 and now I've got a few longer ones - but no fancy-schmancy Sprint-run Millie.

I've got every Para-2 variant (other than the DMT coated versions), and I've been thinking about picking up a Military but the sprint-runs with all the cool colors and steels are making me wish I had jumped on the bandwagon sooner.

Oh well, money saved I guess. I suppose I'll have to jump in on the next one.

Who owns both the Para-2 and the Military and actually uses/carries both? What do you think about each knife as compared to the other one? I'll never give up on my Paras, but the Military is intriguing and sort of calling my name at the moment...

ive owned both and like the feel of the military over the para just feels a lil better in my hand:D

I really like militaries just a bit better when I have more than just a bit of work. The para is awesome for carry. I do love using the paras with the fancy steels. I have a cruwear millie on preorder though. :)

So where does one find out about sprint-run and dealer exclusive Military models - spyderco.com/exclusives doesn't seem to have any info about the Cruwear version. Neither does Spyderco.com.

I've been so enamored with Paramilitary models that I've largely ignored the threads here regarding Military versions, so I may have to just start paying attention here and at the Spyderco forums I guess.

Anything new on the horizon for the Military?

I like the Millie as much as the PM2, although for different reasons and uses. Unfortunately, I "discovered" Spyderco too late to buy the past Millie sprints/exclusives that were available and of interest to me: Orange S30V, Carbon Fiber S30V, M4 w/ Ti RIL. Hopefully, I can score the upcoming Cruwear version. And hopefully there'll be more Millie variations in the future: 3V, S110V....

Not at all. I just opposite. After carrying for many years mostly knives with 3.5" blades, I realized that after I started to carry Native5, it became my most used knife, even if I have Persian on me as well.
I am missing Native5 sprints.

I've missed all of the sprints but I bought a couple of Para2's on the aftermarket before the prices went insane. I'm interested in trying a Military and hoping that my preorder of the Cruwear Military will come through.

The only sprint that I regret missing is the M4 frame lock. I have my M390 Millie and that's good for me. That is until they decide to do a 20CP version.

I have sprints in both para and military. I kind of missed on the para sprints - I have the para 1 in d-2 along with the s30 and the para 2 in s90. My rathole money ran out when all the new stuff came out. I do have a number of the militarys - bg-42, 390, m4, s90, d-2 and have to say that I like the military better. It seems to balance better in the hand than the para does. That being said, the para is right behind the military. I have also been carrying the g-10 endura alot lately. While I like v10 steel, it really cannot hold a candle to the super steels as far as edge retention.

I've got a few Militaries and several PM2s. I prefer the PM2 by a long shot. I'm just one of the apparently rare Spydie fans who just doesn't dig the Military. Part of it is the size and shape. And, I don't like tip-down carry.

To me the PM2 is nearly the perfect all-around folder.

Unfortunately I was late getting into spydercos, they just didn't grab my attention at first. But after a friend turning me on a couple years ago they've quickly become my fav production knife. I got the black s30v para2 then lucked up on the brown s30vn sprint. The knife really lives up to the hype IMO. I had very low expectations when I got the first one and was really blown away with it, fit, finish, ergo's, blade, even the lock which I was skeptical about. Recently I finally got my hands on a military and all I can say is wow how have I not known about this knife. I may like the way they feel better than the para2. I know it's a subjective thing but the military may just be the perfect large folder for me.

I am a hardcore Military lover but haven't tried to collect the sprints. On the contrary, I just sold a couple of sprints. What I've got right now is M4, M390 and S90V, and those work fine for my needs. :D

Those will work fine for ANY needs. :D
