Some questions though, the Manix 2 looks very wide in the closed position. Is it to the point, that it feels annoying when carried in the back pocket and sitting down?
The Para 2 blade, especially the tip, looks very delicate compared to the Manix 2. Am i correct on that observation?
Thanks again for the comparison pics. They're a big help!
Don't know about the back pocket, but the para 2 is more pocket friendly for me- but the manix only feels a smidge bigger and is fine...although these 2 are as big as I go for folders.
I think the tips are almost the same. They are not ZT's, but are both fine for me. I did some drilling in hard wood with both and they managed fine.
Yeah the manix 2 is wide in the pocket, but I have never wished it was different. However more of the knife is concealed in your pocket compared to the para 2.
The tips on my FFG manix 2's are thicker than on the para, noticeably so. But with use I found there to be no problem in the fact that the para 2 has a thinner tip. Overall I prefer the manix 2 on looks, feel, robustness, and performace.
I've never carried my manix 2 in my back pocket but I can say that the pocket clip placement really helps it to dissapear in the pocket. I was very worried when I got it about how wide it was closed, but the first I slid it into my pocket my worries went right out the window.
The only time I really notice it moreso than other times, is when I wear shorts because the pockets are slightly angled instead of vertical like my jeans. But, in jeans, this thing hides in the pocket very well
I also carry in the back pocket and I have both para2 and manix2. I have it as far in the corner of the pocket as I can get it so when I sit, it's not directly under.
