Para 2 blade play help?

I've had the knife for just over a year now and am noticing blade play. It's not significant, but it's there and it bugs me. The knife has only been sharpened, never disassembled. I did try tightening the pivot screw and am pretty sure if I tighten any further I will risk damaging the hardware or the knife. Strange thing is the blade falls freely and always has, even with the screws tightened. Send it to Spyderco? Or are there any other options?

hmm. if it has never been apart, may be dirty. I have two and take them apart for cleaning every few months. I have never had an issue with blade play unless my pivot was not tight enough. If it were me, I would take it apart and clean it. your other options would be to send it in for warranty service.
 
jstn, tried the stop pin screw, same thing. Got a little movement out of one, no luck, same result.
