Need a lowrider bead blasted clip for a spyderco paramilitary 2 (tip up). Do I need to send in the knife for this or can you make it without me sending in the knife. Please let me know and thanks.

Also Steve, can you make the clip similar to the one pictured below with a consistent width to the clip? Not sure if u can with the whole placement but thought I would ask. Thanks

(talking about the cf model posted by trimcut123 as reference)

Well, no not really. They are all going to have to have a taper to them due to how narrow I have to make it to access the screws to install or remove them. This clip is actually a minor miracle that I even manage to pull a low rider out of one so they are what they are. I have to work with what is before me on these already drilled and tapped production folders. Most of what I'm making for these are going to be close to the same looking although I kind of have artistic license if you will for each one. I can try to keep it closer to the same width for you on one if you like but it will be narrower not wider.
By the way. That clip you showed me in the picture is not a Para 2. It has a curvature to it also and I am not making any for the Para 2 with a curve. I normally cut out all the templates for a couple weeks worth of work and I do that all at once so I have plenty on hand. To minimize waste I keep things straight forward with nice straight lines and so on. Also, most of the time on knives with multi mount options for the clip already predrilled in RH, LF Tip up or down carry I've found its best to stick with straight clips.

I can make up and bead blast a clip pretty easily to have out to you tomorrow in the mail if you like. STR@bladeforums.com is my pay pal. $34 would be the total. Thanks for asking

Whats up Steve,

Received the clip today and it turned out awesome. I was thinking it was a little narrow but after putting it on the knife and in the pocket it works out great. Assuming it will fit the Delica 4 I am going to need another one just like it. Am I correct in thinking it will fit the Delica 4. If so go ahead and make me another one just like this one. Just let me know.

Thanks, John

PS... If someone can tell how in the world to post a pic on this forum I will gladly do so.

No big deal on the picture. The new system is slightly different. Honestly I've had some issues figuring things out myself. Anyway, yes it will fit a D4 but its not really folded over optimum to bury the knife I don't think. I can make another up fairly easily for you though. If you want that today I think you know the routine now. STR@bladeforums.com is my pay pal once more and I can get that out to you today again if you want it that soon. Thanks

Yeah that will work. Just out of curiosity I read another thread about the bend point and something along the lines of 13mm vs 9mm. Not sure how u are making them but I would prefer a flush mount (9mm I think from the thread) is that an option?

No problem at all. I can make that wider if you like or wider and longer by a bit. Its your call. Nothing wrong with some variety I guess. That artistic license thing again! :D

Seriously no matter to me. They'll all fit and work fine. Your call. Just let me know and we'll go from there. Thanks

Im fine with whatever width or length u use. I just prefer the highest point of the clip to be flush with the knife much like the one u made me for the para 2. Sending payment now.

Thanks, John

I've got one here that just needed bead blasted. I actually made up a few the other day folding them over thinking I'd need em sooner or later and sure enough they came in handy. I've test fit this one to my own stainless D4. It works and fits quite well. I'll ship that out to you here shortly. Thanks

Its in the mail. Thanks again

Whats up Steve,

Thanks again for the awesome clip. The clip for the delica 4 worked out great. In fact, I like it so much that I am going to want three more done. I need one for the endura 4, one for the Spyderco Tenacious, and one for the Spyderco Persistence. I know the endura 4 will be the same as the delica 4, but will you need me to send the other two knives in to you or can you do them without the knives. Please let me know and once again thanks, I am know hooked on your clips.

Thanks, John

Actually I think the Endura is different than the D4 and I don't own an Endura so I'd suggest since you do have to mail me the Tenacious and Persistence that you should just stick the Endura in there with the other two. The Endura clip is the same as the D4 and Para 2 as well as others but the fold over spot on the clip will be different as I recall. I'll be able to get those knocked out and out of here in my normal fashion once they arrive but I will need the knives in this case to properly fold over the clips. I believe you know the routine for my work order now pretty well so I'll just say once you have that info filled out and printed to mail them at your convenience. I'll do the rest once I see them. Thanks for your continued interest in my clips.
