Para 2 liner marks?

Hi all,

Just cracked open this new s35vn paramilitary 2 (yep, found one online :)) last night and played around with it for a bit. Exceptional knife. Incredibly different from the para 1 full serrated I had a couple years ago.

Today I was further inspecting the knife, the fit and finish is excellent, but I noticed these marks on the inside of the liners. They are very small, I guess cutouts is the word, on either side of the handles, but slightly displaced from each other. I'm thinking they may be from the stamping or cutting process?

They don't bother me much as the knife will be used, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before or has an idea as to what they may be. Pictures are the best I can get with my 5c.

Thanks guys.

Normal, manufacturing marks. Every PM2 has one. If it doesn't - you should probably worry. ;)

Wasn't worried at all :) . Love the knife, it's my first real purchase since getting back into knives after a 2 year hiatus.

I have 6 of them and all of them have about the same marks.! Never noticed that before.! hummmmmm

I heard that is where Sal proof tests all the liners with his finger nail. The word on the street is that his finger nails are around 9.7 on the Rockwell Scale.

These are artifacts from the manufacturing process. I'm fairly certain that they will be present on every Paramilitary 2.

I'm not sure of the exact process used to cut the liners; I suspect wire edm or water jet but either way those marks are where the cut was started and ends after cutting the shape of the liner.
