Ok this is weird first off lol. When I take the clip on my para 2 off or move it from anywhere besides right hand tip down carry the action of the blade opening and closing becomes very stiff. When I put it back on (tip down right hand ofcourse) it's perfectly fine blade movement lockup etc. Well lockup is good no matter what clip on or off. Anybody know why this is? It's very weird to me. Idk

Perhaps since the clip screws into the liner, it is causing things to get out of adjustment when you move it. In any case, all you have to do is, after moving the clip to your preferred position, then re-adjust the pivot and stop pin screws to re-tune the action to your liking.

It's not uncommon for the clip placement to affect action like that. I had a Centofante 4 that was fairly stiff to open when the clip was mounted at the pivot end but free and smooth when at the tail end.

oh okay good to know. thanks guys was just curious. i carry this knife tip down anyway so idc really jus thought it was weird haha.

It's possibly the screws either contacting the tang and/or washers itself, or somehow it is tightening the area around the pivot. I prescribe to the previous as I think I've seen this mostly (but not commonly) in FRN-handled Spydercos such as the Delica and Endura 4 and Centofante 3.

Well no bc when the clip is on the pivot end (tip down carry) the action is buttery smooth. It's when I take off the clip or place it at the bottom (tip up carry) that it becomes tighter action.

Oh sorry, must have misread your post. Then MAYBE it's the latter, where it is somehow affecting the way the liners are, well, aligned with each other (clamping it down further near the pivot)? Have you tried disassembly and cleaning or as the second poster said, messing with the pivot action including all the barrel screws?

no i will if it becomes tight the way it is. bc i carry it tip down and its perfect like that lol.
