So the other day I bent my Para 2 pocket clip pretty badly beyond repair. It got stuck on my leather seat when getting out of the car. :(

Need to know a where I can buy a new Para 2 pocket clip for a good price. Thanks for the help.

Directly from Spyderco. Call them up or send an email.

I contacted Spyderco about the same thing a little while back (bent pocket clip, but different model knife), and they referred me to their factory outlet store.

To purchase a clip kit for your knife you can call the Spyderco Factory Outlet. We need to ask a few questions to make sure we get you the correct clip for your knife. Clips usually range between $3.95 to $7.95 and Salt H-1 Clips are $11.95 Shipping and Handling for USA is $1.95 and International Shipping and Handling is $5.00.

Our store hours are Monday – Friday 9 am - 5 pm and Saturday 10 am - 5 pm Mountain Standard Time.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to reply to this email.

Could use this as an opportunity to try an STR lowrider clip (if you like deep carry).

If you don't want an STR, try a want to buy thread for a stock clip that someone has lying around because they are using STR clips. I have a bag full of Spyderco clips I swapped out, the only ones I typically keep on are the wire clips. If I had a Para clip, I would sell it basically to cover shipping, and I bet a lot of guys on here would too.

My only one is on my Southard, and it is not quite as strong as the stock clip, but it is plenty strong. I think the difference can be attributable to Ti vs. SS. The Length is about the same, but a shorter clip would naturally be stronger.

I also bent the clip on my P2,I may be able to bend it back.I've bent other brand clips so it's not a knock on Spyderco at all.Actually it's safer to have a clip bend if you're hung on machinery or exiting an aircraft at two thousand feet than to be hung up.

Yes...I just used flat black outdoor paint from a rattle can. It matched the DLC coating very well. It's held up reasonably well too I think...has worn around the edges a bit...kind of looks cool and worn now I think. If it wears too much I can always jut touch it up.

How do the STR clips compare to factory ones in reference to strength?

Very well. I highly recommend them! They aren't quite as uber tight as the factory ones are when you first get a new Para2...and I prefer them (the STRs) for it because they don't shred your pants!

They are a very solid clip though... I have no fear of breaking them and they have excellent in-pocket retention.

In fact, I will probably have Steve make me one for my new Manix2 also. Great clip if you like deep carry (which I obviously do).
