Para 2 proof marks?

What are the two little marks on the right side of my shiny new Para 2 (S30v)? One, just behind the hole, looks sort of like a cursive E (or a W on its side); the other, in front of the hole looks sort of like a lightning bolt on the left and a triangle on the right, combined. Just wondering. Great blade!
 
That's an E and an S.
The initials of Eric and Sal Glesser of Spyderco that designed the knife.

I really like the marks.
It is interesting the different very subtle color changes of what ever they use to make the marks dark for example the ones on my M4 blade lean toward brown rather than black.

On the same topic the Spyder gets slightly different texture and treatment depending on which knife / manufacturing plant. Some tend to be pretty smooth and dark and other knives can have a more faceted texture that can catch the light and almost look like iridescent micro fish scales.
I like it.
 
It took me a long time to figure this out too, haha. I would have never expected that was what it was on my own.
