Spyderco is sending me some new ones  but i think the liner is the problem . I have some Locktite havent tried that yet also have some JB Weld dont really want use that stuff never get it off . Any advice to fix this ? Thanks in advance for any advice . Rich

Unless your screws are too short then your liner might be stripped. Your next best bet would be to get longer screws and put a small nut on the inside of the liner.

Which of the 3 screws is it? The one in the middle is not really that important to holding the clip in place.

Best just to send it back to Spyderco and let them fix it.

So this hasn't happened to anyone else? I've changed out dozens of clips this is a first for me not that it's that big a deal there's 3 more position's but that kinda sucks it would strip out so easy.

My answer to all of this is to remove the clip and store in a drawer somewhere out of the way. Just my personal preference, but I have never liked a pocket clip on my knives. They are uncomfortable to hold and use for any length of time, and when I tried clipping them on a pocket, they were always getting in the way and snagging on something. Of course this is just me, as I grew up with the Bucks and Case "pocket" knives. YMMV

Seems weird the liner would be stripped because the screws don't come through the other side of the liners. Have you taken it apart to confirm the liners are stripped? Maybe there is some left over loctite or debris and it just needs to be cleaned. I've removed my pocket clip many times and my screws are showing some wear but liners are intact. The only other thing I could think of is that the clip was snagged or something when it was in that position. When you were temoving the screws did you notice it then?

Is it the first time you used the clip in that position? If so I wouldn't be surprised that its a manufacturers defect. These knives are made well but they do have their differences. I learned that buy trying to interchange parts from 2 para2's. you might remove the handles and see that there aren't any threads on the liner. That would suck.

Hi Sunny i have not taken it apart yet waiting for some new screws gonna try that first before i try them i will clean the threads the screw just isnt tightening down which makes me believe its the liners but i could be wrong .

I had this happen once on a knife from another reputable manufacturer. When I went to install the clip for tip up carry I discovered that the holes at that end of the handle were never tapped. So I tapped them myself. It isn't hard if you have some experience working with taps. All you do is:

1. Send it in.

OR

1. Select the correct size and pitch of tap, place in tap wrench.
2. Use cutting oil, or even just regular oil.
3. Take it slowly, backing up often to clear chips.
4. Clean everything well when done. Use solvent to clean residual oil off threads, especially if you plan to Loctite the clip screws (a good plan).
5. Install the clip.

Honestly, given their warranty, I'd just send it in. At worst, you're out a couple bucks shipping, and most likely they'll be able to fix it up with no trouble at all.

This is the route i will probably take should get the new screws today try those first if that doesnt work its going back . I have a feeling the hole was never tapped to begin with just stripped way to easy . Thanks everybody .
