Para 3 blade in Para 2 handles

Has this swap been done before? The two models appear to have identical designs around the pivot (be it the pivot itself and the blade/handle shape in that area). Seems possible at least.

My thought is that you'd have a full size handle and a shorter blade.

Lol. Well, you'd at least have some extra parts from this. Could fix yourself up a pm2 friction folder from some g10 and the extra pivot screws.
 
Aside from any other problems you might run in to, I was under the impression that the Para 3 had a slightly thicker blade

BladeHQ lists the PM2 as having a 0.14" blade and the PM3 at 0.15".

However, when I compare the two in person, they seem to be identical. Was hoping somebody tried this already.
 
It would be easier to chop a PM2
Blade to fit your needs.
 
There is a guy here who modded various Spydies to short.

I can't recall his threads
