OK, maybe that should be blue Para 3...;):D

I wasn't sure I would keep my unused Para 3 Maxamet. I had a second one that I sold to a friend here (under cost btw ;)) because I am an enabler of all things knife and he wanted to try Maxamet. I have a PM2 Maxamet that I love and that pushed me even further away from using my one remaining Para 3. But then along came a great deal on the navy blue Putman scales and...well...you can see the result. Just like a PM2, but in a slightly smaller package. Oh, and if you've never tried the Putman scales, they are super nice in hand! I guess I could have done a lot worse!:cool:

Anyone else with a Para 3 with custom scales? Let's see 'em!

Nice, Chris!

And I don't mind if folks know that you hornswoggled me into taking that Maxamet Para 3 off your hands for less than it was worth. I'll get you back, you know. No good deed goes unpunished!

Steve,

Here is a photo from a post from February with your "new" Putman scales on a standard S30V blade and the Bento Box Para 3 m390 blade below! I'm glad you are enjoying the scales! Allen does great work!

I just saw where you got Willoughby from (Twilight Zone)? Thats old school man
Yep, old school for sure. The best ones, IMO.

Edit: OK, I was confusing 91bravo's pics with those from willywall. Sorry for any confusion, but willywall's are definitely NOT Putman scales. Again, my apologies. I got some very bad news today and my head has been in a bit of a fog.

They're from a guy on eBay who was not a good dude to deal with. Scales are pretty good but it is so much better to stick to the guys who do good work and are gentlemen to do business with.

You can order directly from Allen's site. Allen has always been prompt and cordial in our communications. I'm a big fan of his scales.
