DC334503-6675-4E07-86E5-64DA40C44C7A.jpeg I have to say im usually a benchmade fanboy! Warranty, quality, strength, design just always checked my boxes. However I’ve never had many spydies other than the delica 4.
Had a pm2 s110 very briefly just didn’t like how the s110 reacted for my sharpening abilities. I like the easy to sharpen steels.
Was always worried about the delicate appearing tip of the pm series, until recently beating the snot out of the delica while building my new deck. It took a real whooping.
So in my quest for a stronger smallish edc after deciding the much anticipated mini presidio 2 was too heavy for its size, I ordered a para 3 and I have to say im in love with it!! I think it’s way more capable and stronger than I ever expected!!
Anyone else feel the same? Welcome to join in.. oh yeah what’s a thread with out pics.

I agree Dallas T! Instead of the S30V version I have the S110V and Cruwear one. I haven’t beat on my my 110V one too tough (bought it in December) but man it sure is smooth with no blade play. I’m debating on buying some of the upcoming sprints also.

I've got a couple and love them both.

I bought my first two Spyderco's in December 2017, an all black PM2 and an all black Para3. I immediately saw that the 2 wasn't going to be carried much, but the 3 has been carried lots. I always felt that the PM2 was too butt heavy and seemed to want to slip out of my hand. Of course it never did but it is a really weird feeling anyway while the 3 fits perfectly.

I have a Para 3 in Maxamet. Only one so far, although I’ll probably get the BHQ M4 sprint next week and dye the scales.

On its own, I dunno if I would be a huge fan of the Para 3. I do collect PM2’s so the Para 3 has a novelty sort of feel and I do appreciate the chamfering on the edges of the scales. A deep carry pocket clip is absolutely necessary but I put those on all my knives anyway. It just doesn’t come in many steels I want at the moment. Cute knife, but a little smaller than what I like to carry.

I have cruwear, maxamet and M390... M390 is by far my most carried... but part of that could be the fact that it's summer in Texas and the other two don't handle my sweat as well haha

I really wanted to get one of those S90V sprints and those things were gone faster than a stack of $1 bills on a friday night at the strip club!

I really like the Para3 a lot more than I thought I would. The clip placement doesn’t bother me at all.
That dead nutz for me too man. Such a good design for a folding knife. The clip placement isn't that bad. I wouldn't even have noticed it if I hadn't kept reading about it. Did the S110 in orange scales and its one of my most carried knives.

When the Para 3 was introduced I was ho hum viewing the photos.
Purchased a Para 3 with Cruwear and really liked the feel in hand and smooth operation.
Now have six and will buy a few more with special steels as introduced.

A small knife like this deserves the old school feel of no clip,,, very comfortable.

FK

Where did you get those orange scales?

I bought them on the bay. Was told in stock and would be at my door in three days. I think it took about 4 or 5 months before I got them. Later on saw the dudes name on the hit list here. The grips are pretty good but dam it was a pain in the nutz
