You won't be able to do it without some drilling.

The head diameter *probably* won't be the same, but even if they are, how they seat is completely different.

A button head screw won't seat down in a hole drilled for a flathead. You would have to counterbore for a button head if you don't want them to stick up proud (which would be stupid).

Actually i could deal with a small amount of head sticking up. In my mind i want it to be a Sebenza-ish look

Ok. In that case, the Sebenza screws appear to be countersunk part way but not completely.

You may or may not be able to accomplish that with button heads without further modification. Next step would be to determine thread pitch and head diameter of existing screws then shop accordingly. Screw head height will likely also play a role.

What you're asking can definitely be done but the screw measurements will determine how easy or involved it will be.

Yea that would be the main thing i need just so see how all the stiff fits and go from there to make it. Just a thought i had since im getting the skinny flytanium ti scales. Class it up a bit

If you determine the thread size, you can probably find them at McMaster-Carr. They have button head, Torx drive, stainless steel screws, all the way down to 000-120. And that is pretty darn small. You'll likely have to buy a box of 50 or 100, though, and their shipping costs a bit too.

Ill try to find out. Crazy that kind of info isnt more readily available online

On the spyderco forum, I found a post that says the para 3 flat head screws are 4-40 100 degree.

If that's right, 4-40 are very common and can be found locally at many stores like ACE Hardware or Fastenal.

100 degrees is the angle of the cone seat for the screw, which won't matter much if you're switching to button head.

You'll still want to know head diameter of old and new. You'll likely need a drill bit to countersink the button heads at least a little.

***After thought***- 4-40 seems big to me for that screw but I don't have a para 3 so I can't say for certain.

Either way, if you find out and have trouble finding any, I have screws of various sizes that I could send you a few.

So, thinking about it, and i have no clue if the sizes are similar, but could i use the Para 3 lightweight screws in a regular para 3. The lightweight uses domed screws.
