Para 3 Lightweight custom scales

Hi all!

I'm looking for some custom scales for my para 3 lightweight in g10 or micarta, but I'm having trouble finding any.

I know that a considerable amount of the knife's mechanism is built into the FRN handle, making a custom scale a bit tricky, but I'm sure some cleaver industrialists must be making them.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

I read not long ago that you "can't" make custom scales for the LW precisely for that reason. I haven't taken mine apart at this point, but the scale construction looks pretty different from the normal Para3.

Just out of curiosity, why would you want to throw a G10/micarta scale on a LW? The whole point of the LW is to make it lighter with the FRN. Why not just get a normal Para3 and get the custom scales?

If it’s a light color you can dye it.

Like the other guy asked... why don't you just get a regular Para 3? Maybe I'm missing something here, but it sounds like you bought a lightweight just to try to make it a normal Para 3....

Get a standard Para 3 that comes in G10. Several different steel choices and G10 colors.

Most of customized scales don’t come with liner. If you buy a para3 LW , there is no way for u to just put into a set of scales. Different hardware.
