I recently received a Para 3 LW in BD1N and was thinking I was going to trade it on here.

When I received it, it was a little hard to flick open right out of the box, so I put it back in the box and wanted to trade as new.

When I realized what I could get for a trade, I took it out of the box again and noticed the blade was centered perfectly. I thought it wouldn't hurt to loosen the pivot just a little. I turned it maybe 1/32". No blade play, thumb flicks, Spydie flicks, and falls shut freely. Also, it's razor sharp and the bevels look excellent.

I've bought and sold 3 Bugouts because I could never get the action dialed in like this.

This P3 is a keeper! Thanks, Spyderco!

This was exactly my recent experience, as well. All it took was one teensy fraction of a turn and the knife went from nice to awesome.

Blade won't stay centered, believe me. Still a very good knife though, mine is always in the rotation.

Mine works fine, but the blade is not well centered.

Can I do something to solve the problem?

I've bought 3 including the dlttrading and rex 45 sprints, and they've all been off center to the left. Not that it really bothers me, but I'm pretty sure it just has something to do with the single washer. Still my second favorite knife after the Spydiechef.

Mines slightly off as well, no big deal. I don't carry or use it much, but it is a keeper!

I really had a hard time choosing between the Para 3 LW and the Sage 5 LW. They seem SO similar in specs. I have a feeling I would have been happy with either one....but I picked the Sage 5 based on looks alone. I like the leaf shaped blade more than the "deformed hump" of the Para 3.

Ain't no explanation for personal taste. ;)

It's funny you say that because I came from a Native which is somewhat similar to the Para 3, without the hump. I specifically wanted the hump.

Had to let my M390 version go.

It was IMPOSSIBLE to tweak out the action without getting bladeplay.

Not a fan of the onesided washer/liner deal. Hope they never do this on a model ever again.

Either two washers/liners or none(like a salt 2 e.g.) please.
