Hi Everyone,
today I decided to carry my para 3 again, after quite some time.
I am right handed but carry my folders tip up in my left pocket, with the blade inward.
That is not the correct way when you have a knife that depends on a detent instead of a spring to stay closed.
I was rummaging around the office and it seems the detent wasn't up for my acrobatics.
The Para 3 was slightly open and nicked my finger when I put my left hand inside my pocket.
This was the second time this happened. After the first time I tightened the pivot quite a bit and did not carry it for a while...
Never had this issue with a backlock or a slipjoint knife, as the spring will close it again if its opening in my pocket.
So, in order to avoid this in the future, I'll place all knives with a detent in my right pocket with the blade against the seam.
Below's a picture of my slightly opened Finger Nickin' Para 3
