Para 3 Thoughts

Looking into buying my first spyderco, and the para 3 appeals to me. I've always liked the PM2, but I feel that is very large. For example, an ontario rat 1 is large to me. Do yall think that the para 3 is a good alternative that has the classic paramilitary look with the smaller body? Thanks

Yes, I agree with you. I have 2 Para 3's and really like them. Get an MXG Gear deep carry clip for it and enjoy!

Hi Aaron. I own two Para 3s and really like them. Smooth action and the compression lock is a great mechanism. Don't own the paramilitary 2 because of the size so the Para 3 was perfect for me.

Not really scaled down. The blade and handle on the Para 3 are shorter but everything else is the same. Originally, I was hoping that the Para 3 would be a completely scaled down version of the PM2. At first I was a little disappointed that it wasn't. After using my S30V Para 3 for a while now I'm quite happy with it. Once I changed the clip to a short deep carry that is.
