I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on the Para Military 2, and being left-handed I am looking at the left-handed model.
However, that particular model is out of stock where I am situated (Denmark).

But, when I look at the regular, right-handed model, it has 4 mounts for the clip. Two on either side.
So how does the left-handed model differ from the right-handed model, with the clip shifted to the opposite side?

I am left handed and have no problem with operating the compression lock one handed. It's actually the only lock I can use with either hand and be absolutely safe.

Also the left hand model leaves you with only one choice of steel.

Thanks, that makes sense.

But if the right-hand version works fine for left-hand use, then I may well just go for that one.
It also opens up for more color options.

I haven't used the compression lock but I will say I have not found a "right-handed" knife that was really any less usable or friendly as a lefty. I have found more issues with opening than closing, usually grip resulting in pressure on lockbar and detent, so I wouldn't think too much about it particularly since the clip can be adjusted for carry options.

Wise choice. I've always thought the Compression lock was backwards. When the Para2 came out, I got one, moved the clip and carried it left handed. When the lefty came out I picked one up to carry right handed. It is the only Compression lock knife that I have really gotten to like.

You are less likely to drop the knife when closing it compression style, using proper hand orientation. Otherwise, closing it like a backlock works pretty good in the opposite hand. I can operate any folder left or right hand, but its not the same in pm2's case.
If you can, get left handed.
