Thanks, I've seen one in a store, but it's still good to see it with other knives. I hope your's is treating you well. I like it so much, that I may break down and buy a serrated model.

Thanks for posting the pic; I had not see any comparison pics. The Para Military looks like it would be a great choice for someone who wants a Delica sized knife with better materials.

If you get one give it a couple days use before you decide if you like it or not.Mine had a very gritty action but after a couple oilings and a couple days use it became smooth as butter, the whipped kind.

The problem with the Paramilitary, assuming that you like the Military design, is that it is 3 3/32" long as opposed to the 2 7/8" of the Delica. That 7/32" makes the difference between "legal" and "illegal" in many jurisdictions where the blade limit is 3". :(

Edited to add: As for me, my weekday EDC must have a blade of less than 2 1/2" in order to be legal in my federal office.

You are always going to have a legal limit somewhere.
Lots of places have a 3 1/2" limit. Some places have a 2" limit. A 3 3/32" knife is only a problem to someone who can't (or won't) carry over 3".
The Delica at 2 7/8" is a problem for people who arent allowed to carry over 2 1/2".
I don't see a problem with the Paramilitary. But, I don't have a limit on the length of carry either.

u812 - excellent idea to post this picture, thanks. I really like the looks of the Paramilitary, looks born to be used.

Personally, I would've rather had 3" and peace of mind than the extra 3/32. Is that 3 3/32 from the handle scale? In my dreams, AKTI will at least get measurement standards written into legislation, so that how long a knife actually is isn't so ambiguous.

As for short-carry, I recently picked up a Micarta Jester, SS Dragonfly, and Dodo. Dragonfly gets carried the most. I really like the other two and tend to rotate, but Dragonfly is an excellent balance between size and discretion.
