Never used one but i was wondering if anyone had and problems with the lock on this model

Nope, never had any problems with it. I agree with the previous posters in wishing it was used on even more Spydercos.

It is as reliable and as strong as they come. My only complaint is that I find it not so ambi-friendly, but many people don't need that and others who do disagree. :)

How does the positrack on a Plymouth work? It just does...same goes for the compression lock.

I'm left handed and find that I can very easily and comfortably operate the lock the Para 2. It's funny, for a long time I thought I had to change my grip on the knife and hold it kind of awkwardly to unlock it. Then one day I realized all you need to do is move your thumb over to the lock without moving any other fingers. Works perfectly, don't know why it took me so long to get the hang of it.
