Just picked up a slim hawg and love it. All black and ordered stainless steel grip safety, and hammer to make it two-tone. Anybody ever or know how to take out the these parts to be replaced? Parts are also from Para. Think I should get a gunsmith ?? I can disassemble a Glock, if that makes sense.

Hammer and grip safety deserve the look of someone that knows how to fit them. Thet are not a 100% "drop in" part. As far as replacing them- there are a few videos on youtube. The short answer:
*MAKE SURE THE PISTOL IS UNLOADED*
-Remove slide assembly(let me know if you don't know how to do this)
-Ride the hammer forward (do NOT dry fire with no slide!)
-Remove pin at lower corner of frame
-Remove main spring housing
-Remove thumb safety by lifting it approx. half way and then wiggle it out
(there is a pin and spring set up in there, take care not to lose it- it WILL fly out and land in the furthest, darkest corner of your shop)
-Remove pins behind safety
-Grip safety, hammer, sear and disconector should all be free to remove at this point as well as the flat three finger/leaf spring as well. Trigger is removed by taking the magazine release out.
Do the reverse to put it back together. *NOTE* how the sear and disconnector come out. It can only go in one way to work correctly.

I would really suggest taking it to someone that knows what they are doing with a 1911. To be safe- the hammer and grip safety need to be fitted correctly. It may be just fine out of the box- then again it may not. It's not a hard thing to do with some practice but- there are quite a few parts and the sear/disconnector can be a pain to re-assemble if you're not familiar with it.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will walk you through it if you want to try it your self.
Aaron
