Para tip-up clip yes or no?

Hey guys I ordered a clip, screws, and tap from knifekits.com. I plan on placing it on my para switching it to tip up this weekend. I just wanted to know what you guys thought about this clip? I know its not a STR titanium, I wish it was. But let me know what you think about it. Thanks, Chet

Yeah, that clip looks like it's designed for RH tip-up. Seems like in that pic you have it arranged for LH carry?
 
No its right hand tip up. I dont know what the clip is designed for. But it is set up for right hand. You can see the three holes where the old clip came off, it comes right hand tip down.
 
definitely tip up.

but yes, the clip you have there is for either rh tip down, or lh tip up.
 
Well thanks for the help guys. I guess i'll have to order one from STR. Hopefully he's got some in stock. Thanks again for the help. It was only like a three dollar clip so no biggie.
 
I personally dont like the idea of converting a Para to tip up. I love the Para but the detent is one of the weakest I've seen on any folder.

Agreed, Para is my ultimate EDC, it's got the smoothest pivot and strongest lock out of all Spydies I've (and I have plenty of them), I personally don't mind the "weaker" detent at all unless the knife turned into tip up carry, I have had the blade open unintentionally a few times in my pocket tip-up, and I don't want to see that happen again.
 
It looks cool and I like my knives being tip up but my D2 Para just seems right being tip down.
 
I have 2 para's that were modded for tip up carry, both work fine but I do carry them against the back of my pocket seam to make sure they stay closed.
