Has anyone completed a paracord handle wrap on their BK11 Becker Necker yet???? How did it turn out, post some pics? Do's ;) Don'ts :( ??

Yeah I did a Strider-esk wrap on mine. I can't post a pic so e-mail me.

I do it and undo it regularly. I like the feel of a cord wrap but I have trouble wrapping it tight enough to not come loose. So I unwrap it sometimes. I should experiment with different wrapping patterns to see if there is a weave or something that hangs on tight.

Just curious if anyone has tried the Plasti-Dip that you get at the hardware store. It's made to put a plastic coating on hand tools (pliers, wrenches, etc.), but it might put a softer grip on a neck knife too.

I may pick up a cheap Camillus Arclite and try it.

I saw a picture of someone's crkt bear claw that had been dipped. Looked pretty comfortable, I might try that too. On the BK-11 you would want to keep the bottle opener and wire breaker clean from the plastic.

The Plasti-dip works to make the handle more comfortable and secure but it looks a little cheesy. You can apply several coats to build up the thickness. It is apparently not difficult to remove if you don't like the effect.

I've done about 5 so far, I find that 1/8 inch cordage that doesn't stretch works best. I tried one with paracord and I found it too slippery, it does not stay where you wrap it.

I'll try to get some pics posted.

Does anyone have any pics of a Becker with a cord wrap? I was thinking about doing my BK7 with one and was wondering what it looked like.
