Para2 and PPT

The PPT is an awesome blade! I haven't been carrying as much because of it's thickness- it's kind of chunky. The Para on the other hand is always with me- usually ridin IWB. The Para2 is amazing. I wish I could get another one for a reasonable price but I can't find them in stock anywhere :grumpy:

Some wicked blade wear on the PM2:

Here's how she looked the day I got her:

Anyone else have some wicked blade wear on their PM2 - pics!

I initially did not like the look of the PPT, so I waited to order one until I found out they were going to be discontinued. Boy am I glad I did, I really like the knife. It is a bit heavy and I may at some point get an aftermarket back spacer made for it since that would reduce the weight by quite a bit.

As for the Para 2, not much to be said that hasn't already, almost the perfect knife. I have to warn you though, they have a tendency to multiply. I started out with one and now have four, I am not sure how that happened. I don't have the "murdered out" one you have yet. Soon I hope.

Yeah I really fell in love with the Para2. Awesome knife! But you're right about the PPT, it's kinda heavy and IMHO just a little bit too heavy. Love the clip though!

Worked it hard.

But it cleaned up pretty well.

The Para2 is a winner of course.
The PPT grew on me. The handle is very comfortable. The lockup inspires confidence. The one thing I don't like is the clip. I don't like using the fob but it's difficult to "unclip" without it.

For those that say the coating is weak or flimsy, that is proof right there. It takes a beating and still cleans up really nice. Great pics fellas.

You should post more pics of the PPT; it's a very interesting looking knife. I've yet to see one in person. Could you post a comparison shot with the PPT and PM2 together? That would be great :)

I second this!

I think the PPT suffers from its looks: you really have to handle one to appreciate it. At least, that's how it worked for me. The shape of the blade is a bit bizarre, but works well and has a very functional tip. The handle is surprisingly ergonomic. The clip provides for deep carry, but it catches on things too easily. I've never had so many broken clips as with this knife (they really don't break immediately, they just bend out really far, only breaking after being bent back a few times).

It does suffer from it's looks, that is why I held off for so long, it is butt fugly. I was convinced of its merits by reading so many good reviews of it here on the forums. Voila! I was correct to trust in the collective.

I have carried my PPT every day after ordering it because it was discontinued. Love the blade shape.

Comparison as requested.

i LOVE the PPT. the knife is very comfortable to me. I am sad that it is discontinued. I am almost afraid to ever carry it again.

Wow didn't realize the PPT's handle was so short. Thought it was about the same size as a Para2.

From the videos I have seen on YouTube it fits in the hand well, regardless of its smaller size. I have a custom version on order.
