I know this is discussed but I'm not seeming to find the info. Where can I find/purchase the deep carry clip that can be put my Para 2 for deep pocket carry?

Also, if I can ask, how much do they typically cost?

Here's a pic.

Question for all of you guys with deeo carry clips... and maybe its just by nature of the design. I find that the clip tends to "flex" side to side. In other words, its not the mounted part that moves, but the long part of the clip itself. Perhaps its a result of the thin narrow neck at the bend.. When I grip the knife into my hand, I can feel the clip move/flex/slide a bit. Do you guys experience the same? Nature of the beast I suppose, I still love it.

I suspect that and the fact that these aftermarket clips are Ti are the big reason there is some flex. Spaceman is working on a thicker stiffer version for his next release.

I suspect the lateral movement is due to the combination of the Ti thickness and the width at the 180deg bend. I asked STR about the stock Ti he chose and he said the thickness is limited due to the extremely short clip screws that spyderco uses; if he went thicker, then he'd have to include screws. I've actually grown to appreciate this "flex". It's better on the cloths and IWB carry.

It is a question of which you prefer. Torn up beat to shred pockets on otherwise pristine pants, or a bit of flex. A very high % of what I make for these clips are to men wearing uniforms of some kind. Woman also as I don't want to exclude them but clips on this knife are going to people in uniform. It crosses patterns so its on Enduras in desert tan, Para 2 and Delica 4s by the dozens and and other models in some cases crawling along with people on their bellies with them in grit and dirt so I think they grab fine. I don't get a lot of loss reports. The reports I get are that they are the kindest to pockets and when you are technically 'out of uniform' for frayed pockets it matters to some people over the flex. Besides this the knives are most often already marked from the factory clip with a very distinct line. Even my M4 Ti Millie has a mark from the original clip. My last note on this complaint is always the same and I'll just say it here too. I never got the complaint really. It never made sense to me to worry about or give second thought to a scratch on a user unless, its pocket jewelry maybe? Anyway, bumping up the thickness will both mar the knife that much easier when it does move but really beat up pockets and be sensitive to exacting tension. I don't make them thicker for a reason. It is pocket tear and abuse related but also screw lengths are tight to begin with and people already complain about the tips just stripping and the whole screw is for naught. It is far worse if the screws grab at all if you bump it up in thickness even .005 on my modern folders with few exceptions. Everything is for a reason. Most often I've tried something and it blew back in my face a stink I didn't like so its not like I haven't crossed a lot of bridges with what works for most people. There is a happy medium between abuse of the pocket and enough tension.

Any chance you'll experiment with different design profiles? No offense, but I find this design awkward and unattractive on the knife--more like an afterthought than an accessory that was developed to complement the design elements of the knife. It looks like the bent handle of a dinner spoon or something I'd cast into the water at the end of some 4 lb. test. I'm sure it performs better than the original and you pull no punches on materials and craftsmanship, but I really wish you'd offer designs that are more 'sleek,' for lack of a better word. Come up with something that plays off the design of the original, and I'd be a buyer in a heartbeat!
