Hey guys, i couldn't find a dedicated thread for posting paracord lanyards and bracelets and other stuff made from 550, so here it is, post your lanyards and anything paracord related!

i made this tonight.

Nice job on those. What did you use for the buckle? I made a bunch when I was teaching my son how to make them. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.

thanks!, the little buckle thing is a piece of steel i cut then drilled and finished with the Dremel, quite the time consuming process but i have quite a lot of time on my hands :)

No pics, but mine is like Les Strouds'. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fanboy, but his is a really nice design. I've made literally hundreds for other people & never could like a style for myself. I've used small buckles, buttons, itw nexus whistleloc buckles, you name it! After much deliberation, I tore apart the very first one I made & tied one like his & still wear it. It's a boatswain whistle knot on both ends & a simple daisy chain for the body. No other parts other than the cord itself, & will come apart for actual use if needed. I absolutely hate a cobra stitch bracelet. Everybody has one & I commend you for not!

i'm not familiar with the one Les Stroud wears, i'll have to pay attention next time he's on and have a look, i get tired of the same old ones myself, i'm trying to come up with some new buckles that i haven't seen before.

Nice job on that buckle! I'll have to try that. I usually make them with small fastex buckles or a loop and lanyard (diamond) knot. Easier to put on and take off. I stow 550 cord on my work and field gear so I'm not really wearing them as "survival bracelets".
