Does anyone know where I can buy the clip down cord lock type things. used to hold two pieces of paracord. Im not looking for the little spring loaded things but the ones you see on the end of rope zipper pulls and whatnot.

Thanks.

REI and many other outdoor stores carry them.

The main problem is the primary maker is ITW Nexus who only sells in LARGE quantities. Most of the buyers are therefore pack makers and so forth.

The big demand right now is for the glow in the dark cord ends. There are some people who make the big order and resell them on the forums, mostly at CPF, EDCF and USN.

Thanks guys I think I'm probably just going to use the knot that phatch and Phydeaux posted. Looks simple enough even for someone like me who is all thumbs and IMO has a nicer look than the plastic jobbies.

I know what CPF and EDC forums are but, what is USN?
Thanks,
Mike

USN is a members only forum. Google for Usual Suspect Network. Pretty stringent membership requirements, esp. toward email addresses.

Countycomm sells them too. These are unassembled cord ends, unlike those on REI.

+1 for countycomm.com. I get mine there and I have always had satisfaction with my dealings with them. A word of warning, though: If you start perusing their website you are going to find a whole lot of other really cool and useful stuff that you will need to have immediately. ;) I suggest you take a look at their EOD bag and their ever-popular bail-out bag so you have a place to store all your paracord and related gear...

Another  for countycomm.

The knot someone mentioned earlier that Peter Atwood uses is pretty cool. It looks nice, but it's tricky to learn without someone showing you. Don't get discouraged. :)
