Paracord Hat Band

I want to make a paracord hat band 23.5 inches long using a button/loop closure. How much ungutted paracord should be used to make one in feet? My brain is fried and I'm too tired to figure it out.

I think the old rule of thumb with this stuff is about 1 foot for every inch of knotted length.I'd go with 24'.
