Even as a joke, thats dangerous and should not be done. Head injuries are forever.

That's no joke. I'm not pullin a Michael Jackson here. I got 3 strands of 550 holding 30 lbs. U do the math

seems secure to me. Don't know how the shoppers will take it since most people are not aware of the merits of 550 cord.

Looks fine haha....plus there is a little on the end for the baby to suck on/play with. Win Win?

The shoppers will complain except u will know that you are getting your shopping done and keeping your child from disturbing them by crying his/her head off.

Paracord is useful stuff!!!!!!

i've been doing this with the babies since my first child 9 years ago. lots of smiles, some people stop and say thats a great idea; others just nudge their so's or kids and point. so far not a single negative, ever.

The cart could tip over if it wasn't filled with enough groceries to act as a counterweight. I may be wrong, of course.

Its your kin, so be it I think it is a bit dangerous, not just from dropping but some dam retard running into the cart.

But I for the life of me never understand why someone places the most delicate items on the bottom of the cart then proceeds to pile it high with other heavier items. Just seen the box of chips and had to stress my concern come snack time and chip pieces that may look like shake and bake. Reminds me of he scene in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation when Eddie drops a big bag of dog food on Clarks light bulbs.

Seen enough 10-year olds racing carts in the store, the big can of V-8 dropping off the shelf or me dropping something from my booger hooks to know I don't want my kid at that level and directly under my hands.

Doubt that anything would happen, but not interested in tempting Murphy.

the chips are under the seat with nothing on top; good eye for details though. Most people learn by their fourth child that contrary to the belief of new parents or folks without kids, they are not as breakable as fine China.

I see you really like Baked Lays. I also would bet good money that the rest of your brood is in the background. Nice looking family. Cute baby. Looks snug to me. The key ring for entertainment is a nice touch.

I agree. Stupid. Someone runs into your cart and he gets hurt. What about people walking buy with over filled baskets. Something falls out and lands right on the kid. I know the cord won't break, it's having the kid that low that is a problem.

Because carrying your body at your waist height next to you is any different? Either way, when you carry a baby in a carrier like that, they're down at waist level, this way to baby at least has protection from frontal impacts. When carrying the baby to the side they could get hit by oncoming shoppers.

So, you don't let your kids crawl?
