Paracord Lanyard Finishing

I've done several paracord lanyards in either the box knot or the spiral knot, but instead of just trimming the ends, I'd like to leave some "tails" or a loop. You guys know how to do this? I found one youtube video but I can't follow it because it's too dark.

Appreciate any help you can give.

Ill post pics when i get home but i am at work now and will try to explain. Do your normal spiral or square knot but leave it a bit loose. Take one of your tails and loop around the strand to the left/right and up thru the middle of the 4 strands. Keep working either right or left until you get all 4 thru the middle and then begin tightening them. I find its easiest to do it in order.
