I am searching for a good paracord made in the US, i found good prices at campingsurvival, but is that cord made in the US? The 1000' cheaper stuff. I want a good deal but I also want it made here.

That seems really cheap for a 300ft roll. Also I believe Rothco is not USA made and is usually associated with poor quality all around.

Thanks guys appreciate the suggestions. Seems to be a very tricky subject, lots of brands and specifications.

the rothco 550 I have is made in the US, or at least according to the label it is. I have used a lot of it, never had any issues. strong stuff, 7 inner strands. works for me.

I've bought several hundred feet of Rothco from Amazon. On the package and on the Rothco site it says made in USA.

Pics of one unopened 50ft pack:

I don't know what you're needing the paracord for but the Rothco kind I've bought has 7 inner strands and feels plenty strong. I haven't tested to see if it'll hold 550lbs but it seems sturdy enough for lanyards.

Vote up on the Supply Captain. Good product with VERY LARGE SELECTION of colors and unique patterns! Again i can't say it made in the US either but the quality is there.
Purchased Rothco before and never had a problem with it. After all 550 is 550, right?
I think there is a big difference in the core stands they use vs. Supply Captain. I just think the Cap'n feels a little tougher or beefier if you pitch the cord between your fingers. yeah I know that not a true indication of the quality but if you buy enough of it from different suppliers you can compare manufacturing differences. I feel they both feel considerably different to one another (again that could also change down the road with different batches of cord).
